Location: Remote (Latin America)

Compensation: $4,000 – $5,500 USD/month

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM CT (40 hours/week)

Our client is a funded startup whose product is growing faster than its infrastructure can keep up. They are scaling rapidly and need someone to own the systems that let engineering ship fast and safely.

About the Role

You own the infrastructure and the tooling engineers ship on. You build and run the deployment pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, keep systems reliable and secure, and make the team faster. You are the person who makes shipping safe and routine. This role fits someone who takes ownership of reliability, automates toil, and thinks like a builder.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own CI and CD pipelines and the deployment process.
• Manage cloud infrastructure as code and keep it scalable and cost-efficient.
• Own reliability: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and uptime.
• Harden security and access across the infrastructure.
• Build internal tooling that makes engineers faster.
• Plan for scale and reduce operational toil.

Who You Are

• You have 4+ years in DevOps, platform, or site reliability engineering.
• You are strong with cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar).
• You automate, monitor, and respond to incidents calmly.
• Your English is excellent in speech and writing; you work with a US team.
• You build reliable, secure systems and document them.

Bonus Points

• Scripting and a programming language beyond shell.
• Security or compliance experience.
• Comfortable using AI to speed infrastructure and tooling work.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

• You have mapped the current infrastructure, identified bottlenecks, and documented the deployment process.
• You have built or improved CI/CD pipelines so deployments are reliable and repeatable.
• You have set up monitoring and alerting so the team sees system health in real time.

Ongoing

• Deployments are routine, safe, and fast; engineers ship with confidence.
• Infrastructure scales with demand; costs are optimized and documented.
• Incidents are rare, detected early, and resolved quickly with clear postmortems.
