About the Company
Puente connects Latin America's most driven professionals with leading US companies. We're running this search on behalf of our client, and you'd be hired through Puente to work directly with their team.
Our client is a profitable, 20-plus year old e-commerce company with 8-figure annual revenue. They're a top 1% Amazon seller in their category and are now building a fast-growing direct B2B channel selling to institutional buyers nationwide. The team is deliberately lean and AI-native, automating the routine so people can focus on high-leverage work, with no bureaucracy or unnecessary layers.
About the Role
You will be the CEO's force multiplier, absorbing whatever the company needs next. One week it's a market-research deep dive, the next it's mapping a hiring process, prepping board materials, or fixing an operational bottleneck. This role combines strategic work with the CEO's day-to-day operations in one position, rather than splitting it across two hires. This role rewards judgment and range over any single skill, and is defined by what the company needs, not a fixed job description. This role fits someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and takes ownership of outcomes. You'll lean heavily on AI to build workflows, automate the routine, and take work off the CEO's plate.
Who You Are
• You're a generalist with real range and judgment, you get up to speed on anything fast and exercise good judgment without a playbook.
•
You own outcomes: when something's on fire and nobody told you what to do, you step in and drive it.
• You're AI-native, using tools like Claude or ChatGPT daily to do the work of a much larger team.
• You communicate in clear, sharp English, C1 level or above, both in writing and in the room.
• You're proactive by default, you bring the CEO a status update and a plan of action rather than waiting to be told what to do.
• You're attentive to details and catch what others miss.
• You have E- commerce experience
Key Responsibilities
• Lead market research and analysis, going deep on a question and coming back with a recommendation, not just data.
• Support hiring by sourcing, screening, and building out process as the team grows.
• Identify what's breaking or slow operationally and fix it.
• Handle inbox triage, project tracking, scheduling, travel and points, and AI-assisted research so nothing falls through the cracks.
• Produce call and meeting summaries so the CEO stays current without sitting through everything.
Bonus Points
• Familiarity with board-level reporting and investor materials.
• Track record of building or optimizing hiring processes.
• Comfort with financial or operational metrics.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
• You've mapped the CEO's recurring pain points and have a prioritized list of operational fixes underway.
• You've completed your first market research project and delivered a clear recommendation that shaped a business decision.
• You've built a system for inbox triage, meeting summaries, and project tracking that the CEO relies on daily.
Ongoing
• The CEO and leadership team move faster because you've removed friction from their day and given them the information they need to decide.
•
Hiring moves at pace: you've sourced, screened, and onboarded new team members with minimal CEO involvement.
• You've identified and fixed 2 to 3 operational bottlenecks that save the company time or money each quarter.
