About the Company
Our client is an acquisitive company, search fund, or PE-backed platform that buys businesses and needs deal horsepower without an investment-banking price tag. They evaluate targets rigorously, close deals efficiently, and integrate them for growth. You will work directly with senior leadership and deal principals who value clear analysis and sound judgment.
About the Role
You evaluate acquisition targets end to end. You build the model, run the comps, pressure-test the assumptions, and put together the investment memo leadership uses to decide. Some weeks you are deep in diligence on a live deal; others you are sourcing and screening targets against the thesis. This role fits someone rigorous with a model and sharp on judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build valuation, LBO, and operating models for acquisition targets, and assess deal profitability.
- Run market research and comps to identify and screen targets against the acquisition thesis.
- Lead due diligence: review financials, contracts, and business risks, and quantify their impact on the deal.
- Prepare investment memos, board and investor presentations, and reports that support negotiations and decisions.
- Coordinate the deal process across buyers, sellers, legal teams, and senior executives.
- Support post-merger integration and synergy realization, and monitor industry trends for new opportunities. Who You Are
- You have 3–5 years in M&A, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or corporate development, typically progressing from an analyst role.
- You build advanced financial models (valuation, LBO, accretion/dilution) and are expert in Excel and PowerPoint.
- You have strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with attention to detail under deal deadlines.
- You hold a Bachelor's in finance, economics, or a related field, and you separate signal from noise in a data room.
- Your English is excellent in speech and writing; you present to investors and deal principals. Bonus Points
- MBA or CFA.
- Banking or PE background.
- Experience on closed buy-side deals and post-merger integration.
- Comfortable using AI to accelerate diligence and memo drafting. What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days

- You support deals end to end, from screening through integration planning.
- Your judgment is trusted on go/no-go calls and shapes deal decisions.
