Why this role exists

Our client is a startup or mid-market US company growing faster than its processes. They need an operator who can run the day-to-day, keep things on track and remove manual load with AI, not against it. This is hands-on ownership of an operational area, not a chief-of-staff seat.

What you'll own

• Day-to-day operations and the key processes, end to end
• Projects and process improvements, including automations that remove manual work
• Metrics, reporting and the operating cadence for your area
• A small team or direct reports who carry out reporting and operational tasks, where applicable
• Cross-functional coordination to get things shipped

What we're looking for

• 4+ years in operations, including process and project ownership
• You have owned operational outcomes within an area, not just tasks
• Comfortable managing a small team or direct reports
• You build automations and use AI to scale yourself
• English C1, written and spoken

Bonus

• Startup or e-commerce/remote-business experience
• Proficiency with PM tools and automation platforms
• Track record of shipping process improvements quickly

What success looks like

First 90 days

You own the core processes and the operating cadence for your area, and the team feels the difference. You have shipped at least one process improvement or automation that removed real friction, and reporting and metrics for your area are reliable and visible.

Ongoing

Operations run smoothly and predictably with minimal firefighting. You keep finding and fixing the next bottleneck before it slows the team down, and your team executes consistently as the business scales without proportional headcount growth.
