Senior Staff Accountant

You know how to keep the books accurate, close the month on time, and deliver financial reports businesses can trust. We're looking for experienced accountants who understand US GAAP, take ownership, and know how to get things done.

What you'll own

  • Manage general ledger, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Own month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support US GAAP financial statements and reporting.
  • Handle AP, AR, and payroll-related accounting.
  • Resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with US finance teams and controllers.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and hands-on month-end close experience.
  • Direct experience working with US-based companies.
  • Experience with GL, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, including AP and AR.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Professional English (B2+ or higher).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Proven ownership of accounting processes and measurable improvements.

We're especially interested in accountants who can explain the financial processes they've managed and the impact of their work.

Bonus

  • QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Experience at established US companies or multinational organizations.
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certifications.
  • Multi-entity accounting, consolidations, or audit experience.
  • Accounting automation, AI tools, or process optimization.

What success looks like

First 90 days

  • Day 30: Understand the accounting systems and start managing assigned responsibilities.
  • Day 60: Independently handle reconciliations, journal entries, and closing activities.
  • Day 90: Deliver accurate reporting, resolve discrepancies, and improve accounting efficiency.

Ongoing

  • Maintain accurate, US GAAP-compliant financial records.
  • Complete month-end close activities on time.
  • Keep reconciliations and reporting audit-ready.
  • Identify issues early and continuously improve processes.
