About the Company
Our client is a funded SaaS platform company serving technical customers who rely on the product as a core part of their operations. They believe in building deep, technical partnerships with customers after the sale, not transactional relationships. The company values engineers who can bridge the gap between customers, support, product, and engineering teams.
About the Role
You own the technical relationship for a portfolio of customer accounts, from onboarding through renewal. You understand each customer's architecture and use case, solve technical problems proactively, and guide them on best practices. You sit at the center of the customer, support, product, and engineering teams, and you are the person customers call when it matters. This role fits someone who wants to be a trusted technical partner, not a support ticket handler.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical relationship for a portfolio of accounts, from onboarding through renewal.
- Understand each customer's architecture and use case, and advise on best practices and product roadmap alignment.
- Resolve technical issues end to end, coordinating with support, product, and engineering teams.
- Drive adoption, expansion, and renewal by ensuring customers achieve measurable value with the product.
- Translate customer needs and feedback into clear requirements for product and engineering.
- Run technical reviews and proactive health checks to keep accounts informed and healthy.
- Catch renewal and churn risks early and develop retention strategies. Who You Are
- You have 4+ years in technical account management, solutions engineering, implementation, or customer-facing engineering roles.
- You are technical: you read documentation, APIs, and logs, and explain them clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- You own relationships and outcomes, not just tickets or task lists.
- Your English is excellent in speech and writing, and you present confidently to technical and business audiences.
- You are proactive: you catch the risk before it becomes a churn situation. Bonus Points
- Background in software engineering or a technical degree.
- Experience with the customer's vertical or tech stack.
- Comfortable using AI tools to speed troubleshooting and account analysis. What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
- You have completed onboarding for all assigned accounts and documented each customer's architecture, use case, and technical setup.
- You have identified and resolved at least two technical blockers or adoption risks for your portfolio.
- You have run your first technical review with each account and established yourself as the trusted technical contact. Ongoing
- Your accounts show consistent adoption growth and feature expansion quarter over quarter.
- You maintain a 95%+ renewal rate and proactively identify and mitigate churn risks.
